Window Lift Motors& Smart Control

Matched motion. Intelligent control.

From conventional DC drives to networked smart motors, Han Yale develops window lift solutions around the vehicle’s original control architecture. Mechanical fit, electrical interfaces and signal behaviour come together in one application-matched motor.

Beyond the mounting pattern

The right fit must speak the right language.

A motor can fit the regulator yet differ in feedback or control behaviour. Match the complete interface before selecting a replacement.

Mechanical fit

Confirm housing clearance, fixing points and output gear engagement with the regulator.

Electrical match

Check voltage, connector, pin assignment and direction of rotation against the original motor.

Control compatibility

Identify the required feedback or communication system, including any vehicle-specific initialization procedure.

One product family / Four architectures

Choose the motor for the original system.

Each architecture serves a different control arrangement. Select by OE reference and application, not by connector appearance alone.

01 / Networked control

LIN Bus Smart Motors

Integrated motor electronics exchange commands and diagnostic information with the vehicle’s control system.

  • LIN 2.x smart node configurations
  • Integrated transceiver and controller
  • Application-specific protocol and diagnostics
  • Smart window functions on specified variants
02 / Sensor feedback

Dual Hall Sensor Motors

Hall sensing provides pulse feedback for the vehicle’s window control architecture.

  • Han Yale in-house Hall sensor IC technology
  • Application-matched pulse characteristics
  • Power and dedicated sensor connections
  • Confirm signal timing and pin assignment
03 / Sensorless feedback

Ripple-Count Motors

Motor commutation produces a current signature that the vehicle’s door module can use for tracking window travel.

  • Position feedback through current ripple
  • No separate Hall sensor signal wiring
  • OE-matched commutation characteristics
  • Ripple signature and gearing must match
04 / Conventional drive

Standard 2-Pin DC Motors

Conventional window lift drives for applications requiring a standard DC motor.

  • Two-pin power interface
  • 12V or 24V variants by application
  • Matched rotation polarity and connector
  • Confirm output and gear requirements

Functions and voltage options vary by part number. A two-pin connector does not establish ripple-count compatibility.

Spotlight / Ripple-count technology

The current waveform carries information.

As brushes cross commutator segments, current fluctuates. In a compatible system, the door module interprets these ripples to track movement. Changing the motor’s signature can affect that interpretation.

Illustrative motor-current ripple

Match the signature, not just the plug.

Review commutation characteristics, gear ratio and signal consistency. Confirm full-travel and one-touch behaviour on the intended vehicle system.

Electronics expertise / Application matching

Developed around system behaviour.

In-house sensor technology

Han Yale combines Hall IC design and firmware expertise with motor development to match feedback to the intended application.

Vehicle-based verification

Control communication and window behaviour are evaluated with the applicable vehicle or door module. Request the validation scope for your part.

Noise & interference control

Brush geometry and circuit filtering address operating noise and electromagnetic interference. Protection features depend on the motor configuration.

Before you order

Motor & smart control questions.

Does every motor support one-touch and anti-pinch?

No. These functions depend on the motor configuration and vehicle control system. Confirm them for the exact application rather than assuming they are included across the range.

Can a standard two-pin motor replace a ripple-count motor?

Matching pin count alone is insufficient. A ripple-count application requires compatible commutation characteristics and gearing. Request a match by OE number.

Will this motor work with my existing regulator?

Confirm the output gear, bolt pattern, housing clearance and travel requirements, as well as the electrical interface. Send photos of the original motor and its regulator mounting face.

Should I replace the motor or the regulator mechanism?

Identify the faulty component first. If the motor is serviceable and the fault is limited to cables, clips or guides, a compatible regulator without a motor may be appropriate. Motor-only supply does not include the regulator mechanism.

Is initialization required after replacement?

Follow the vehicle’s service procedure. Some applications require initialization or relearning; do not assume every replacement is calibration-free.

What information is needed for a quotation?

Provide the OE motor reference, vehicle make, model, year, market, door position, voltage and connector photos. For sourcing programs, add quantity and required documentation.
